Wood You Be Mine by Daphne Elliot Book 1 of the Lovewell Lumberjacks Series

Wood You Be Mine by Daphne Elliot was a pleasure to read. I actually read this series out of order. I read book 2, Wood You Marry Me as an ARC. I loved the book so much that I had to find out what happened in the first book to have a better understanding of the story that occurred in book 2. Although, it definitely can be read as a standalone. There is a main story plot that extends through the series so far, so take that into consideration.

The love story between Henri and Alice starts off with some comical interludes. One of them having to do with a moose and tampons. No, that's not a typo. 😂

It's a slow burn that builds to some pretty steamy scenes. Henri is all man and is definitely swoon worthy with his grumpy possessive self. Alice is quirky and has admirable qualities that make her a loveable partner for Henri. These two are dynamic together and their journey is a heartwarming one.

The story was well written, it flowed seamlessly and kept my interest and the mystery going.
