Welcome to my book review blog.

I'm a stay at home mom who is extremely introverted and would rather read books and spend my days with my hubby, daughter and dogs than socialize. I wasn't like this when I was younger but after developing PTSD and anxiety, reading, along with crafting, has become my refuge.

I started reading again in 2019 and pretty much read almost every day since then. I only read for fun and get most of my books through Kindle Unlimited, free offers, giveaways and Advanced Reader Copies from authors. When I find authors that I truly love, I will try to buy their books and display them in my library room. I read mostly from ebooks and paperbacks. I have yet to try audiobooks but am open to it.

I will only post reviews that are 3 to 5 star reads. Like most people, I have different moods. There will be times that I may start a book and have difficulty connecting to it because I'm simply not in that certain mood. I usually don't finish the book. Sometimes, I'll pick it up again and sometimes I don't. I don't think it's a reflection of that author necessarily so I don't want to discourage others from reading their books. We all have our different likes and dislikes and we all have different moods at any given time. I would not be doing you a favor by giving a biased opinion and deterring you from discovering a book that you could possibly love.

I'm here to share the love of romance reading. To build a community who loves to read and give support for those amazing authors that have touched me at some emotional level.

I love reading romance novels with different genres and tropes. I mostly gravitate towards Contemporary, Romance Comedy, Paranormal, Young Adult, New Adult, Sports, Erotic and Romantic Suspense genres. I enjoy books with all kinds of spice levels.

I'm open to reading all kinds of tropes such as bully, dark, billionaire, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, forbidden, forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, mafia, love triangle, reverse harem, second chance, sports, college, slow burn, small town...

Speaking of which, I absolutely love Small Town, big family, frenemies to lovers, brother's best friend with quirky family/friends/townspeople who meddle and funny animals incorporated with lots of antics and banter. I would say that the spice levels for the majority is in the 3/5 category.

I began my reading journey with these Small Town, quirky books written by:

The spiciness levels for these span in the 2/5 to 4/5 levels.

Going for even darker and sinister Mafia/Organized Crime plots with possessive alphas and questionable morals? Ones that come with trigger warnings and push you to the limits? These plots that have themes that I would disagree with in the real world. I try to read these books with an open mind and no preconceived notions. Though I may strongly disagree with it and don't condone it, I do know that they still happen in the real world. Read with caution and awareness. These usually have 3/5 to 4/5 spicy rating.

I love a really good Contemporary Romance that is just so pure and heartwarming that you feel yourself smiling through the whole book. Ones that include real life issues and experience that we all go through. I label these as my "Hallmark" movies category but may have some steamy scenes that is a bit more than a PG rating with spice levels between 2/5 and 3/5.

These authors will fit the bill with their "Hallmark" novels that put that warm feeling in your heart and has you swooning like a lovesick dog:

My favorites tend to be more in the fae, magic, shape shifting stories. The spice levels from these authors are usually in the level 4/5 or 5/5 steamy, hotness, you'll need a shower after reading it.

You can't go wrong with these Paranormal Romance authors and their wild and descriptive imaginations:

Who doesn't love a good laugh with the added romance? I am a sucker for a RomCom book that will have you laughing out loud and chuckling. I find it more difficult to find romcoms that really get me going, so my list is short. Spiciness levels are usually in the mid range of 3/5 to 4/5.

Who's got me ROFL? These RomCom authors will definitely give you a good laugh:
