LJ Shen has been a one click author for me for a few years now. I have always enjoyed her books. Handsome Devil is the stepping stone to a darker trope that is apart from all her other books. The trigger warnings for this book is quite a list so make sure to read it before embarking on this amazing journey.

This book dives into some dark and disturbing issues that will make you question everything. You will hate everything about Tate and question Gia's sanity through it all. The transition in Tate's character slowly turns the tide and you start to seriously fall in love with his boyish and broken character. You begin to understand, and in the end, respect the way his character evolves and transforms into this beautiful person hidden behind the mask.

Gia's strength and perseverance pushes her to fight the confines of Tate's solid steel "wall" and begins her slow understanding of what made Tate the person he is. She falls in love with his faults and quirks as she realizes his history and pain.

It's quite a tumultuous love story that begins with hatred and becomes an epic love story of a lifetime.

This is the perfect example of do not judge a book by it's cover. You will hate Tate with every fiber of your being. But through understanding, you will learn to adore what was once so unforgiving.

You will weep with his pain.

You will want to avenge all the wrong doings.

You will fight his fight....
