We all know that falling for your brother's best friend brings a lot of heartbreak all too well. It's full of longing and pining  and hoping, then comes disappointment and heartbreak. 

Book 1 of the Ember Falls Series brings in that heartbreak from the first chapter. The loss of a beloved one is heartbreak in itself, but add losing the one you have always loved and longed for on the same day of the funeral... well, it broke my heart from the get go. 

I love unrequited love and this story did not disappoint. I found the story captivating, exciting, frustrating (in a good way), romantic, steamy and funny. The Disc Jocks really brought the humor in this story. Lachlan's possessiveness, declarations of love in acts and words is more than Hallmark swoon worthy. Ainsley's quirky nature makes it fun and entertaining.

This book is starting the new series off to a great and promising start. Looking forward to the next book.
