Don't Tell Me Twice
by Dani Ryan
The Morelli Sisters Book 1
This is my first book by this author and had no preconceived ideas regarding this book or her writing style.
Don't Tell Me Twice is a friends to lovers, ex-boyfriends best friend, closed door, slow burn romance that is sweet with a tiny bit of spice. Dani has laid out the foundation for this series and I quite enjoyed it. Having read so many open door, super spicy books lately, this came as a surprise and a nice reprieve.
Perla and Frankie's romance took it's time to develop. It really made you appreciate their friendship and how their feelings developed slowly with the help of a marriage of convenience. I liked how neither of them had feelings for one another at the start of their friendship and slowly developed into love. You start to see that flicker of fire between them and it just builds through the story with a happy ending that had me swooning for Frankie.
I would rate this book to slightly under 4 stars as at times it felt a little long winded but overall, I truly enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing what's instore for the rest of the Morelli sisters.
