Free Fall by E.M. Moore Book 1 Spring Hill Blues
Free Fall by E.M. Moore kept me guessing throughout the book. I didn't know what to expect with this book. It had RH vibes and it was throwing me for a loop, in a good sense. I love it when the brother/friends are protective of the sister. I love the brotherhood between them.
It starts off with an aching loss and the grief of it all. I lost my sister when I was 13, so I can really relate to Briar. It's good to see that her friends were there even when she didn't want them. Support is so important at that stage and all the ways her friends held on to her warmed my heart.
I was unsure who her true love was between the three friends. I was rooting for one in the beginning, but now I'm rooting for the other. I love a good jealous, protective hero and we've got two in this story. What a treat.
Even though I didn't like how Briar handled herself and her self talk, though understanding that not everyone handles things the same way, it was a good character development for her. I'm hoping book 2 will continue with her development.
