Ruthless Savage by Lilian Harris Book 1 of the Savage Kings Series

Ruthless Savage... wow. I read this book in 1/2 a day! I haven't read too many mafia stories but I will always one click Lilian Harris's books. I have loved every book she has written from The Cavaleri brothers to this latest book, I can't get enough of this world.

I also haven't read too much age gap tropes, especially this big of an age gap, but the way it was written and the chemistry between Devlin and Erui is scorching.

I love her innocence not just as a virgin but as a sheltered 18 year old learning how to become an adult. I was a lot like her as far as being sheltered. I understood her character deeply and the struggles she faced.

I love touch her and d*e tropes who are extremely possessive (in books, not real life). Devlin is a true possessive, protective, "mine" character. He's strong when he has to be, which is most of the time, but he shows a soft side that will tug at you.

The storyline is intriguing and mysterious. The villain in this book was a surprise to me which makes for a really good ending.

I loved seeing cameos from the other series. I love how interconnected they are and I'm brought back to their stories. The Cavaleris will always be my favorite because they were the ones that introduced me into Lilian Harris' world, but I can honestly say that all the other series ranks high up on my list.

I hope book 2 comes sooner than later. Lilian Harris will always be my "go to" for mafia. She's definitely my favorite.
