End Game
by GA Mazurke
End Game by GA Mazurke aka Serena Akeroyd is my first book by this author. I had no preconceived notions on this book. I went in "blind" with only an excerpt to go on.
This book was quite a surprise for me. I had not expected to be affected so much with the story. I felt that Gracie was completely relatable to what I go through with my family. The struggles in her life, were and are the troubles that I go through to this day. I saw myself in Gracie from start to finish. Her Liam is my hubby, Robert.
Not only was Gracie relatable to me, but so was Liam. He's self exile and preference to staying away from the outside world. is something that I too, struggle with. It so true that doing social activities can drain so much out of a person.
The tragedy with Liam in the beginning threw me for a loop. It's such a unique twist with a male being a victim. This story is really quite unique and refreshing. To say this book knocked me off my feet is an understatement.
I loved the different significances that tied the story together. I think 35 is my new favorite number. I loved all the different things Liam did "courting" Gracie without her knowing about it. I'm a sucker for the MC falling hard for the FMC. I love the "pining". I loved the text banters between the boys. I loved the dirty talk that made for some steamy scenes.
At 600 pages, it did seem a little long. I was anxious to get to the end but story was worth it.
